“ I organized a group hiking trip to New Zealand last March (2017), and I contracted with Bayes Coachlines to provide our coach transportation throughout. We traveled first around the North Island, visiting Auckland, Taupo and environs, then on to Wellington where we caught the ferry (with our bus) to Picton and the South Island. On the South Island, our route took us through Maruia Hot Springs, Christchurch, Mt. Cook, Queenstown, and the Routeburn Track. It was a fabulous trip and all 27 of our participants and our 3 guides had a wonderful experience. One of the highlights of our visit was our experiences with Bayes. From the first day that I contacted Mr. Bayes and his staff, they were courteous and well organized. And the price for the services was very reasonable. The coach was in impeccable condition when we first boarded it at the Auckland airport and was kept clean by our driver Gavin throughout the trip. Speaking of Gavin, I cannot speak highly enough of him. He is a fount of information about his country, its history, and its scenic wonders. But most of all, he is a very nice and thoughtful person. For example, he suggested privately to me that we organize a surprise party for all of our travelers at the end of the trip. While we were busy visiting the Maori village of Rotorua, Gavin went home—he lives in that area—to pick up an extra large ice chest and other picnic items for the surprise party. And the day before the party, he picked my wife and me up in downtown Queenstown so that we could go out to an inexpensive big box store to purchase the party goods. On the day of the party, while we were all out hiking part of the Routeburn Track, Gavin set up everything for the party at the trailhead. Our travelers really enjoyed him and, as the tour planner and organizer, I received all kinds of compliments about Gavin. Bravo to Bayes for having such a skilled and dedicated driver. If I organize another group trip to New Zealand, I will not hesitate in hiring Bayes Coachlines. ”
